Scabby Nose, not a symptom.

Following a supermarket shopping trip on Saturday night, I ended up briefly involved in the tail end of an altercation with a shoplifter and his cronies (2 men, and a woman that I didn’t see), This ended up with the supermarket staff and i getting spat at, with the added comment from the cronie carrying out the deed that he was COVID positive. The crony is around 5 9 - 5 10, skinny, scraggy wearing at the time a flat cap, black glasses with a graze running the length on the front of the nose. Please be careful out there in FY1, and any other postcode if you see someone matching this description.
The staff were all as brave as lions - 2 ladies and 1 gent, and I guess they gave a response that has been the default in past times, but based on the current situation and tonight’s events staff should not put themselves at risk for the sake of a few pieces of meat. Security is a must when there are very small numbers of staff on site late at night, and a directive should be issued to staff to keep themselves out of harms way.
I am aware that there are many wider issues that bring these situations to bear, but some actions are beyond reproach.
Stay sensible out there and try to keep this R down - its about everyone doing the right thing for all.
