After years of having a threadbare first 11,we now have a group who are much of a muchness and interchanging match day squad does not seriously weaken it.
Dom Thompson was MOM and playing mainly as a winger suited him, but he would be lucky to get in most of our league match day squads.

I think even the players go out and are unsure what team will turn up!

As I’ve said many times they are professional footballers getting paid to do a job and if they can’t adapt to change then they shouldn’t be playing.
Imagine going for a haircut and the barber says he can’t style your hair the way you want it.
It’s the same principle

It's not like it's unique to us though is it? That's the constant battle in football , trying to get some consistency in performance and results.
