Scott Banks

Honestly don’t know too much about him, but it’s exciting anytime big fees are spent on younger players.

6 goals and 5 assist in 29 appearances (21 starts) is very solid especially for a 21 year old.

Just reading over his data it seems like he’s capable of a lot of different things; dead ball specialist, chance creator, decent finisher and dribbler.

Think he’ll be deployed more as a roaming 10 supporting the striker (as that’s where he played for Bradford during their Playoff run).

His highlight tape is massively impressive too, especially his free kicks. Having a deadly set piece specialist again could be huge for us, especially with 3 CBs on the pitch at once.

The young talent we’re accumulating at the top of the pitch is exciting.

If this happens, we're quite congested in the attacking midfield role (Carey, Morgan, Banks, Apter).

That said, It's a good problem to have

Buy backs tend to be significantly higher than what the paying club is paying so I would imagine it will several million, £3m+ would be my guess, although that wouldnt be ideal if they ever activated it it would mean he has been a very good player for us and it fits the model we want to follow, buy young, develop, sell for a huge profit then reinvest.

200k up front with clauses taking the deal up to 600k with a buyback is good business.

Even if the buyback is cheap for like 3m it still isn’t bad, because if the player realizes that value it will have meant that he’s done well enough with us to earn the move back, which will have meant 1-2 stellar seasons.

They say there's no way he fits 352 cos he's an inverted winger and wouldn't be able to play wing back. They think 200k plus add ons is about right, mostly.

Doubt we'll play 3-5-2 every game. Critch used so many different formations in his last spell.

I'd imagine he'll use a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 in some games, with CJ and Banks/Dale on the wings

I'm thinking the same. The season we went up he changed formation depending on who we were playing. He played a 3-5-2 agaist Sunderland, a 4-3-3 agaist Pompey and 4-4-2 agaist Burton, off the top of my head. There was even times it was more of a 4-2-3-1, so I imagine he will do the same again.

When pushing for promotion, which I really hope we will be doing, everyone in the squad will play their part is some way shape or form. If Critchley wants Banks, then I trust he has a plan for him.

Critch is quite capable of getting a player to change position, he's doing it with Dale and he's loving it, my understanding is he would be a good number 10,
