Scully got nabbed from us

Been same old for most of this season with players ‘nearly’ getting over the line.

Not good at all in that we couldn’t land a selection of average league one players.
 
Why is so much of our business done publicly now? Up to last season there were no rumours only done deals.

Not sure what you mean? None of this is fact. It’s all guesswork made up by professional rumour merchants like Nixon and Scrafton. The only thing that ties us to Scully is he played for Appleton at Lincoln. There is no proof the club have been after him at all. The same is true of pretty much all the supposed failed deals. Very little fact, lots of guesswork by idle minds who want a story or something to rant about.
 
I'm not sure what this says about Scully and Appleton as much as anything. We have been left extremely lacking in the final 3rd, unless Beesley morphs into prime Lewandowski.
 
Would have been a good signing. Appleton clearly doesn't rate Hamilton, Lavery has no quality on the ball, he just smashes it and shows no composure. So good news for Corbeanu, opportunity for him to make left of the front 3 his position.

Not knocking the signing by the way, I think he'll be very good for us! Means we have 4 out and out CAM players now, plus keshi can play there as well when fit.

Fingers crossed its not hoofball to Madine now vs Udders...
 
Nixon said Blackpool were all over Scully but Wigan nabbed him...We've been linked with him ever since MA got appointed, so God knows why we couldn't have signed him earlier??
 
When a player chooses another club rather than us does it mean our recruitment team is lacking?

I’m interested in why fans feel we should be breaking our wage structure and upsetting all the existing players for new players who as of yet haven’t proven their ability?

If Wigan offered much higher wages, then what should we have done? Matched them? Then sit all the existing players down and increase their wage as they’ll be miffed that they’re underpaid?

I’m assuming you’ve never ran a business, or a department at work with budget responsibility? Also you have someone else looking after your household bills as you keep trying to buy stuff you can’t afford because your neighbours have bought it?

And if Nixon said it, it must be true . . . After all, he actually decides who we're signing rather than just start rumours to shill his stuff.

Not sure who's the bigger numpty, Dixon or people who take his gossip as Gospel
 
What I have seen of Patino and Poveda in their short cameos, suggests to me that Pool will have an excellent midfield this season. A couple of “ minders” in there with them, and Pool will control that particular patch.

His success rate is the same as anyone else's would be nicking rumours from elsewhere.
