Sea sick off Sunderland

Its intolerable how far we have fallen in acceptance of the unacceptable here in the Britain. World triathlon swimmers fall sick in large numbers, likely because of sewage in the sea. Meanwhile Paris has cleaned up the Seine and should have the Olympic triathlon there next year.
Also today, the tin can hulk reserved for asylum seekers at Portland is battered by 65mph winds.

Sunak has his first holiday for 4 years, allegedly , but he does have a 5million pound apartment in California.

Lost Seasider says everything is fine with his party's dealing with the issue.

Shamefully we need EU regulation because our shower of shîte politicians can't be trusted with the very basics like not poisoning us.
But the EU said that bananas had to be straight or curved or something and we couldn't have blue passports. Disgrace.

I did warn people prior to the Brexit vote that the EU had to take the British Government to court repeatedly to get it to clean up its own waters. We had the cleanest beaches we've ever had due to that EU threat.

Hasn't taken long for the whole clean up to be destroyed by a British Government once again has it?

Apparently there are 11 open cases that are now being ignored due to Britain having left the EU and now under its own laws. What an own goal.

It’s the regulators fault. They’ve set the bar too low and water companies are hitting all their targets.

I’m not sure who tells the water regulator to accept sewage in our streets, rivers and seas? Whoever that is maybe needs to change?

Completely agree about British water but you did see the Paris event was called off because of poor water quality? This was after they have spent a billion trying to clean the water.

It’s a cosy, morally corrupt collaboration between Ofwat and the water companies.

The Ofwat executives want to move to highly paid jobs in the water utilities, while water company executives are happy to serve a stint in Ofwat to keep it all under their control and, mission accomplished, it’s back to being a non-executive director with a water utility in their “retirement”, with as many directorships as they can collect.
