Seasiders Podcast Post Match Show 830pm

Since the podcast has changed the format and no longer scores the team performance, it has become tedious for me. I have watched every episode for the last two seasons, maybe the new format is aimed at not upsetting the team or the manager but it is boring to watch. I just cannot see myself watching many more episodes, as the panel seems to be more interested in describing their journey to the match or their recent holidays than having any controversial opinions on players or the manager's tactics.

To be fair holidays aren’t normally on the agenda but we do have a track record of talking shite about something 😆
Like to think we can still be controversial albeit constructive
The ‘ Big Boss ‘ will have to feedback on the format as he sets it
 
I doubt the guy with the glasses has much to say about his journey to away games, probably only been to about two, in all seriousness he makes it boring, he needs personality training 😁

I really like it too, I don't see what the issues are? I missed last nights live as I was in the hospital with me old mum who was found collapsed at home yesterday morning and she is very poorly indeed so I enjoyed watching the recording tonight when I got home, took my mind off things.

That’s a tough one. There’s no finer distraction from life’s shitty hands than indulging in all things BFC. Hope you are ok pal.

I like the variety of characters. It probably needs a Mucker type to complete the set. 😀
 
It's very easy listening and still enjoyable despite the format change.
Early days with the new format but a tweak or two may be needed, but I also think I could be in the minority with my opinion.
 
I quite enjoy it as it is, maybe a bit less time chatting about the club we are playing possibly. i want to know about their team now, not how the individual got into following their team etc. possibly cut that down to 5 mins instead of the 15?

On the whole its a very good watch with some interesting dalliances into random topics/scenarios.

I agree but it's a fine balance between chilled banter on the one hand and cracking on with the issues and not waffling on the other. Might be an idea to try to cap it at an hour? If it goes over a bit, don't fret?

It’s the going off on tangents that I like. It’s amusing, entertaining and most of all warm and friendly. For me if you try to professionalise it or make it slick it will lose some of that appeal. It’s a group of fans talking football and whatever spins off from that, that’s why it works.

Who’s talking about being professional, god they are all as dull as dishwater apart from maybe the. Mitch Cooke character 😯
 
As a fellow baldy and occasional ‘hat wearer’, they can help to keep your head from burning in the summer and keep you warm in the colder months. 👍
 
Obviously sometimes its necessary. He wears his in bed and in the pub and on the bog.

He's a real penis isn't he, BOOOOORING! And that Tom Folding bloke, what does he know about football, he's a car valet isn't he? He's always drinking lemonade out of a massive goblet too, the big girl. And as for that Athers bloke, he's from ** Rotherham, he's not even a Blackpool fan, I reckon he's one of these dungeon and dragon sorts too, probably calls himself Dildo Bugger or some hobbitty wobbity name.

They need some quality on there!!

I enjoyed it in the past so not sure why I haven’t to be fair? Bit of a marketing challenge for you all 😁

It’s an enjoyable listen, never miss it,
although sounding a klaxon whenever a word of more than two syllables is uttered is a bit annoying (particularly when the word is often mispronounced or used incorrectly).

We've talked about finding something halfway between the two positions of rating vs no ratings

I think we ditched them cos we kept getting to end of pods without having addressed any of the twitter comments or news and they got a bit boring to do week after week but I think maybe losing the Motm element and the discussion around that hasn't worked so well.

I think if we had time it would well to all submit our ratings before pod and then perhaps discuss where we differ and the high and lows but often, we're squeezing it in around life so don't get chance to prepare properly.
 
John often comments that it’s been over an hour and they need to wrap it up and being ratings take so long and leave little time after they struggle to get the rest in.

The panel is brilliant IMO and has the right amount of banter and seriousness. I would like to see the original format continue and do the ratings and still stop at 1hr to 1 1/4 and if not got through everything then so be it, it’s always better wanting more than getting through it all and filling.

Keep up the great work all, brilliant unpaid job that is in the main thankless but no doubt is an inconvenience that you don’t always need. There will always be people unhappy with it but the quiet majority continue to enjoy it
