Season over tonight thread.

Agree with most of that - just not so sure about the 'transformation' you are confidently expecting La Critch to undergo!

I mean, are we really expecting our very own 'leopard', at this late stage, to change its spots? No, me neither ...
I might have been a tad optimistic with the last line...

Supernanny Calderwood keeping him on the straight and narrow as well when he starts farting about too much
Oh is he, I didn't know tbh. It's that good mix then of someone who knows how to setup a passing side and someone who knows how to do the dirty side of the game and an effective side.

Not sure we have any who excel in either side.

Yes joined them end of October when they had a negative goal diff. +30 now.

Seems to have found a niche as the sense check behind the modern coach.

All I care about right now is getting to Reading with something to play for. That would be good for the fans considering the season has been over for months. After that, the football gods will decide 🍊

Wow….

Imagine being that bitter (and you say you’re in your 40s???) that you’d not want to see the team you allege you support promoted?
I can say that knowing we will not beat both Reading and Barnsley. We have scored 3 goals in 6 games. We don't have momentum; in fact we are looking just as poor as normal.

For me, the system and tactics are boring to watch and I'd rather alter that before anything else.

yes the system and tactics are boring, but we have two games left and have a legit shot at the Playoffs, to say you’d rather Critch out than be promoted is so childish and unserious.

Respectfully, shut the hell up.

Yep, regardless of being disappointing in many aspects this season, we're still just about there and can only try and win this game with full tangerine enthusiasm.

The sun will be out, tangerine looks sublime and at this time of year things just seem to shine on us and we rise to the occasions.

Neil Critchley will transform into Pep Guardiola, CJ into Mbappe and Beesley into Haaland.
and hopefully Marv will become Van Dijk - all sorted 🤣

3 wins on the bounce nobber. If that's not momentum I don't know what is!

And we have looked shite in every one of those victories. Wait until we play half decent teams like Barnsley and Reading. It will be back to normal.

There is no logical explanation for supporting the theory that this pathetic system will suddenly start yielding positive results. Scraping wins past Fleetwood and Carlisle doesn't really class as momentum in my eyes compared to other seasons where we have made the play-offs.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy this false hope goes on for another week but us making the play-offs would be classed as one of the world's greatest miracles.

We stick a couple past Barnsley we can still go up if they draw final game.
We only need to win 1-0 against Barnsley, that would level GD, and if we win the last game and Barnsley don't then we finish above them. But we also need Lincoln to have one draw in their remaining two games for us to make the playoffs. We are still the rank outsiders, but at least for the time being we still have a ticket.

This pathetic system ain’t too pretty at times but we have started to grind out results. To start tinkering and experimenting with our style of play with 2 matches left , which could see us in the playoffs, would be foolish in the extreme .

Disagree - opens up a second place - beat Barnsley 2-0 and goal difference is on our side which means they would have to win their last game to guarantee promotion.
It is impossible for GD to be a factor if we are to go above Barnsley. For that to happen, they have to lose against us and only draw against Northampton. That would mean their best GD is +18, even if we won both our remaining games 1-0, that would mean our GD is +19. 😊

You were saying we are worse against the poor teams. Make your mind up.

Really ,you wanted us to get beat the other week to put us out of our misery 🤣

Lincoln and us could make the play offs in another scenario. Barnsley n Oxford lose their remaining games. N we both win ours. 😝
