We’ve got 5th to play at home to so we could beat them and it only be 4 points and they could lose their game in hand?

I am thinking we’re going to fall slightly short but we need to have a bit of belief and fight in us ffs. If not we may as well pack it in now.

Did we play well? No. But we shouldn’t have lost that game if it wasn’t for our 2nd unlucky deflection. Roll on Oxford. We’ve had a good start to 2023, I remember a similar loss to Ipswich in Feb 2021

Hysteria abounds on here again. I saw a post before the Stevenage game which made sense to me, which was win 10 games (from 17) to reach the play offs. Now it's 10 from 16. Move on, the season is far from over yet. Yesterday was poor though.
 
It’s now a case of every game is a must win. Starting with Oxford, which won’t be easy but is doable.

It’s not over quite yet and I’m still pleased we’ve got a semi in the trophy at home to look forward to. More cash in the bank.

We were pretty unanimous in saying that before the Stevenage game in that it was a must win game.

We can’t keep moving the goal posts games are rapidly running out 6 points and 2 games more is still a massive gap to close home form alone simply won’t do it.

We needed the 3 points yesterday and we should have got them in all fairness but instead we we’re beaten by one of the most boring teams I’ve ever seen yet this season we were simply clueless in trying to break them down and just had no idea.
 
The season was over at the end of November regarding the league we’re still in the efl cup though. Yesterday just showed us how a manager pit his wits against a kids coach Stevenage are nothing special not got lots of money but they out fought us fair play to them and their manager

In no way saying everything hunkydory but to give up now is ridiculous. Question is can we pick up 30 points out of a possible 48. I think we can which is why I've not lost the plot after a last minute loss.

I wish I shared your optimism but we haven’t shown anything like that kind of form all season. We haven’t been top six all year for a reason.

The problem is that nothing will improve whilst Critchley plays this formation so absolutely no point in ‘keeping the faith’. I will only get my faith back when we get a new manager.

Appleton has just been sacked and big Mick is in the knackers yard .
As for out of touch formation - my issue is I don't really know what his formation is

It’s true. I remember thinking that if didn’t at least score one in that opening twenty minutes then we might not score at all.

They dragged us down to their level somehow, it was a tight, difficult game to watch with the ultimate sucker punch to finish it off.

We need to win almost every game now.
 
We have now accepted that we will be a league one team again next season.
Which teams from the championship and league 2 respectfully would you like to play next season?

Sheff Wednesday
Uddersfield
Rotherham

Stockport
Barrow
Wrexham
Crewe

All if these teams are northern and pretty much within a two hour drive for away games.
