Season over

Pathetic display. No shot on target in 98 minutes. Absolutely SHAMEFUL. I hope some of the players read this cos the majority of you are mentally weak and not fit to wear the shirt, but I don’t hold you fully responsible cos the silver haired fraud leading you couldn’t run a bath.

See you all next season in this pathetic, tinpot league

Will someone blackmail you to watch?

If we had gone up we would sign players from Div 1 and 2 and been relegated again. Our recruitment is not great. Where are the Ballards and Simms. The hierarchy made the mistake last season of saying the ambition was to stay up, very defeatist and this year it was to reach playoffs. Someone in the club must compare the 2 teams and realise this squad of players is way behind the team who beat Lincoln 2 1

It's a million miles away from the side that went up in 2007 too, we have actually gone backwards on the pitch, go figure??

Not so fast Athers, got a sneaky feeling we’ll still do it.
Might change my mind on Saturday though.

Stick with it Athers. I doubt we'll set the world on fire but even so. It's your team.

As I was saying….not so fast Athers
Wait until the fat lady is at least gargling.

So bloody annoying, isn't it?
Think we've had a bit of a reprieve today, as Bristol Rovers, apparently deservedly, managed what we couldn't on Tuesday evening.
However, agree with most comments on this thread; think it's a little bit too far for us, as we're not consistent enough, although 9 points from 12, with three away games in the last 4 isn't a bad effort.

If we'd have played with that sort of passing intent and more control we saw today, I doubt we'd have lost to Orient.

At least we know we'll be in form if we do make the Play Offs.

Perhaps squad rotation all season means our squad is fresher going into the final quarter of the season?

This whole season has been full of hyperbole. The whole “season over” thing is an example of that.

It’s no coincidence that the posters seemingly desperate to declare the season over are the same posters who have been anti-Critch from the start.

I personally don’t think we’ll make the playoffs as we’re too inconsistent. However the season is certainly not over. It’s ridiculous to say that now and even more ridiculous to be saying it after games like Oxford and Cheltenham as some were.

I think we are going to need at least 77 points to reach the play-offs. 21 points from 10 games = 2.1 points per match

2023 6th 77 pts
2022 6th 80pts
2021 6th 83pts

I thought after Orient that’s it but at least yesterday’s result keeps the season alive with a cracking game coming up on Saturday, Portsmouth will be nervous
If by an outside chance we were to make the playoffs & do what we usually do & win them, we will be facing sides as good as Portsmouth & better with quite a lot of our present squad. Now there’s a challenge. We’ll never fully know what effect Critchley’s tinkering & stubbornness with the team formation has had for sure. I don’t think it’s helped one bit myself & it’s left us with a mountain to climb. I’ve not given up hope yet though, otherwise what’s the point of even bothering to go. If he continues to play the likes of Connolly and I’ll have to include CJ unless forced to then he will have lost the final bit of support I’ve got for him. So it’s attack attack attack, pass & move & give it a right go from now on.

I think Stevenage will get 6th spot.
They looked to have a good team spirit when we played them at their place and with Evans at the helm I can’t see them blowing it.

Looking like Barnsley could steal an auto spot. 3 points behind Derby and Bolton, two games in hand on Derby and one on Bolton.
