Have every intention of renewing our 4 but I won't be doing it till a new managers announced. If they go the same way as Dinosaur, Grayson type of football manager then I won't renew. Dobbie, Wellens type then absolutely.
Yep I agree with that

I need to see what way the club is going first

A season ticket isn't that important to be honest and doesn't define if you are a fan or not

Renewing regardless.

However to get the majority to renew we'll need to make some correct decisions, create a buzz and pick a good manager, one that fans love like Dobbie would help.

Hit the right price point, leaflet drop the area if we need to and market it right.

If we get it right we can retain the ST holders or even add some new ones.

This should be relatively easy for a pool fan to do, whether Mansford is involved in pricing rather than SS whoknows.

But it's about time we gave this a real go, believed in filling the stadium and priced for it, the benefits can be huge and we know how having a fuller BR helps and can help us next season.

A few positive moves and you can build up a positive feelgood factor.

Will be renewing (regardless) but am going to hold fire to see what happens in the background (manager / recruitment / CEO etc) & what the price is.

If an Appleton or such like gets announced as manager my thought process may change - Also if a significant rise in ST pricing is announced. Price drop or freeze I’d be happy with

Didnt have one this season for various reasons but found it an arse ache buying online as phone signal (for OTP) is piss poor here & jut get timed out of transaction every time . Thus I didnt get to as many games as I hoped though , health & family issues played a big part in that . Will get one this coming season though

If the football is good to watch (Dobbie style) then yes - turning up and seeing the absolute chite we’ve witnessed throughout the season has made pub teams look good!

Sooooo... not regardless then 😂

Weirdly am in the Not Got 1 but buying one category - been working weekends the last two years and just hasn't been worth it. Shift pattern changes in July and go back to weekdays so am really looking forward to getting back (and my previous season ticket seat which I had from when the stands opened has never been taken 👍

I kinda get people not renewing when a team is relegated from the Premier League to the Championship due to the draw factor of the opponent's but does the Championship to League 1 really matter?

Yeah I didn't have one this season either because shared with my brother who is in the Forces - reckons he'll see more games than he won't next season and so going to buy another!

Well, only a small sample size so far, but the not renewing is wiped out by the new buyers.

The not got one and won't be buying one is largely irrelevant.

If the club, as I expect them to, appoints a positive manager, like Dobbie, the wait and sees are all in I'd imagine.

It kinda depends on which manager we get, if we appoint the likes of either Dobbie, Wellens or Wild then yes I’ll gladly will but if we decide to go with the likes of Hurst or Alexander then no I’ll just choose my games, home and away.

I do find it funny that because things didn't work out with Mick McCarthy, the majority of AVFTT has decided from this sample of one that all older managers are dinosaurs, useless, etc, etc.

Generally I'd take an "old school" manager over a young lad with a laptop who couldn't tackle a fish supper.

For the benefit of the tape, I am not suggesting that Dobbie and Wellens are in my latter group, I'm just not sure we should be dismissing a certain type of manager just because things didn't work out for one older manager here.

🤣🤣
Could not disagree more!

I want the club to pay me to have an ST🤣

FFS……..The very people saying they are not renewing are probably expecting SS to spend more money on the team in a lower division with potentially reduced income streams 🙄🙄

If - that says IF - the owner is not willing to put his hand in his Davy Crockett, you may as well let BST run the club as they have previously proposed.

Of course he should be spending money on the team he fucked up massively this season with his penny pinching ways

The main reason we are relegated is because the owner decided to try and compete in the Championship on the cheap

We know from past experience that just isn't possible

Im not dismissing a certain type of manager cos MM didn't work out here and his age is irrelevant to me. It's because I hate that type/style of football. It's the absolute opposite of how I think football should be played so I would refuse to pay to watch it whether it's successful or not.

That's fair enough Dobbie, we all see things our own way and most will be with you there.

I'm generally, "It's all about winning", but to be honest, I found the football under Critchley to be very boring and I used to be sat at Bloomers wishing I was elsewhere and the entertainment came from the drama of the game, usually hanging on for a win or draw.

Love him or loathe him though, we stayed up under Critch, AFTER HE HAD FECKED OFF, plenty on here were quick to tell us how our form dropped off towards the end of the season but they often exaggerated and appeared to forget the wins we had at the back end of the season, the bottom line was that we stayed up very comfortably even despite a tricky start.

So maybe I'm not all about winning ? and I do like Mick McCarthy, he's no Neil Warnock mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was all for his appointment and that things just didn't work out for him here is not going to make me start knocking him or his football.

The main reasons we were relegated :-
1. Dreadful injury crisis lasting the whole season.
2. Dreadful disciplinary record .
3. Appointment of 2 unsuitable managers.
4. Failure to land main transfer targets for various reasons but not money .

I just don’t believe it was due to “penny pinching”.

Well, it gives money upfront, which is important when no gate money is coming in. On the other hand, 23 x POTD gives a lot more than a ST in revenue.

NO i haent had a season ticket for years. JUST pick and choose which games i attend. BUT NOT AT THIRTY pounds. joke. no concessions till 2025. get lost BFC . arrogant useless ticket office staff. take it or leave attitude. my son lives out of town so we MAY do a couple of away days. Did ACCY away in 2019.

If you don't have a season ticket and don't go to games why are you bothering to post on hear?

Should NOT be spending money on the team if the club hasn’t got the funds to do so and risk it’s long term stability.

Yep we have done the Championship “on the cheap” we have had to.

We came up as a Div 1 Club and that’s how we are going down.

Had the town filled the ground every week your point may be valid.

Nothing risks the long term stability more than relegations

Looks like we're leaving it late again .. amazed how we never seem 'ready to go' as a club.
We don't seem to go as early as most others.

I was going to say because of recent events we'll be behind, but BM is still here isn't he for now?

Wonder if he'll be involved in next seasons ST's as his last work?

Or would that fall to others anyway?

Interesting with news of Wigan today not paying wages that their tickets went on sale weeks ago - makes you wonder the earlier ST’s go on sale, the more financially weak the club are?
