Season Tickets,

I paid for mine in early August (5th) on the Website. I still haven't received it through the Post.
Anyone else not received theirs' ?

The club aren't issuing them for now, as they are still determining who is sitting where, allowing for social distancing. We won't be back in the ground before October at the earliest, so there's no rush.

Ticket office told me they were waiting on new cards before sending out. Also advised that although I picked my existing seats, there was no guarantee that I would be in them.

All of the above certainly not a problem, there's a bit of work to do with seating and social distancing to ensure supporters are spread evenly around the stadium.

But how can they firmly allocate a seat? Not as simple as saying same again.

They're officially your seats, but during COVID restrictions, the club may reallocate you, either indefinitely or on a match-by-match basis. They were unsure at the time whether it would be done by the club manually, or automatically by Ticketmaster.
I was concerned because with TinyTractor being autistic, his location is very important to him - we specifically sit in a quiet corner at the end of the row where he's away from other people as much as possible, close to exits etc, so he feels safe - they assured me that they'd jiggle things around to make sure we kept his seats, which are socially distant anyway because there's never usually anybody within three seats in any direction.

One thing we can be sure of is a moan-a-thon from fans about allocated socially distanced seating. Particularly those that end up in the east.

Good explanations TT. I hope it works out for you and your child. I would have though that for certain people with very specific requirements, this would be feasible. The rest of us can be more flexible without getting in a huff.....unless they stick me behind a bloody barrier in the East!

1966, I hope they don't try to move my any higher.
I'm on Row 3 because I need to be low down because of my balance difficulties when climbing the steps.
And on the way down of course.

They can stick me in the East as long as its the padded seats on the half way line lovely. 😆

When we finally get approval to attend then as long as there are no pillars ( or pillocks😉) blocking my view ....or if the rain can sweep in if too low down...then I guess I’ll happily live with it until things start to return to normality though potentially not sitting with( or at least near) the usual mates will be disappointing as it is part of the reason for being there in the first place( none of them including myself actually live locally or near each other so it is the only chance to meet up).

Dave, I did the same as you on 5 August through e-ticketing and got a confirmatory email the same day regarding my existing sests. My understanding was thay couldn't confirm seat allocations until later and that they certainly weren't ready to issue any cards at the current time. So I am surprised if your relations have got them. Let us know if you hear anything else.
Thanks

If your status and seat is the same as last season then you will not get a new card.

Your existing card will just be re-activated to work in the new season

It can’t be any worse than them selling me a disabled seat in The south (that obviously didn’t even actually come with an actual seat)for the homecoming game!!

Again, that should be pointed out to the Club and accommodated. It's not rocket science.

I trust that you have told them that, DP tho it sounds from your text that you haven’t

send them an email if you haven’t done so already. You’re clearly a fire risk and there is nothing worse than having one’s view of the game obscured for more than a few seconds by some crusty old fart

only joking - send that email !

Happy Wednesday !

I understood that if you were renewing an existing ST and there was no change in status your card would just be reactivated when spectators are allowed into the ground or when iFollow links are commenced.
I spoke with Laura at the club and she informed me that new ST cards would be issued In the near future.

Look on the bright side DP - you may get down the steps quicker than expected 👍

Seems ridiculous that the club have to go to all the hassle of making sure you can’t sit with your mates in an outdoor stadium but you could sit with them inside the pub for 4 hours before and after the game with little problem.

By the way I know this isn’t the clubs doing.

It's beyond ridiculous.

That is the kind of logic that is beginning to make me very sceptical about the whole thing!

The rules are so wooly it's hard to understand and implement, but in theory, you shouldn't be mixing with people you don't know in pubs.
According to the government guidelines: “indoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles) while outdoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (or support bubbles), or a group of at most six people from any number of households.”
