Second goal yesterday

I never post new threads on here, but was moved to do so by watching a replay of the second goal yesterday. At the time, shredded with emotions, I didn't realise what a sublime piece of football it was, by both Madine and Yates. Watch it again.

The Quest EFL guys gave praise for the 2nd goal.
Having skillfully brought the ball under control, Jerry clearly looked up, saw Gaz making his run and put a measured pass through the defenders legs - brilliant.
We have to add this; being at almost pitch level yesterday, we are even more appreciative of Josh's skill, speed of thought and ball control. He has magic feet and the defenders didn't have a clue where he was going - sheer magic to watch and his end product will soon improve.

I thought his crosses and passing generally was a lot better today. He had the fullback on toast throughout and got it "into the mixer" several times. Had a good game.

Saw it better on Quest than in my seat. Yes, Jerry deserves the plaudits for his assist but Gaz held off two guys to get the deftest of touches that steered the ball past the keeper.

It was a great goal, Jerry was just sublime and the machine did what he should do.

Jerry had a superb game, not often you'll say that about a striker when they don't score. He was on fire when he had the ball and nothing sums it up more than the assist and all his little trickery prior to it

We had a great view from block C, that second goal was just… lovely!!

It was a 1-2 between Yates and Madine that started halfway up the pitch. In order for the older Madine to catch up for the return pass, Jerry had to flick it over the defenders head, trap it then pass sublimely through his legs.

Yep. I hadn't realized that they had constructed the entire move between the two of them from the halfway line. Yates is a very skillful footballer. I wonder if he would benefit from bulking up a bit upper body, as he gets knocked off the ball quite a bit. This is not a criticism!
