September's Fixtures

Beat Wigan
Draw the next two and lose to Barnsley

I don't think our fate will be decided on these four games

Hell of a lot of reactive stuff on this forum-we have a squad capable of competing at the top end of the table although the footy is dull ,with a couple of additions and time ,we will be in the mix

Wigan (h) - would be 3rd
Wycombe (a) - 14th
Reading (h) - would be 15th
Barnsley (a) - 12th
Wigan have had a flyer but they are what they are and a solid Blackpool performance should see them off and the rest are mid-table (I know we are as well) and so go in to those games with no fear and let's get 12 points in September and turn this season around.

Had we talked about those fixtures after the first two games, most would be putting us down for 12 points! Not much to fear there tbh but we need confidence and a good start to the month to really push on.

😂😂😂😂😂

Wycombe is a big one - I reckon if we win that and with the crowd behind us against Reading then no reason we can't head to a really tough game at Barnsley with 9 points from the month.

It’s looking better after beating Wigan. There’ll still be ups & downs but we should do better when the new players start to gel & our key injuries are behind us. I’m not overly concerned. Still don’t get some of the team selection’s but it was the same last time Critchley was in charge.

Next 2 are winnable Wycombe have injuries, reading on its arse, notice Andy Carroll went to France so struggling up front as well as a load of kids.
You’ll never win anything with kids 😆

Do fear this season could be over by the time we reach the end of September.
Two tricky games coming up ...

Two tough opponents - badly, badly needs something on Saturday as Barnsley are no mugs and then Derby, Charlton, Stevenage and Oxford .. that's half a dozen really tough games and am surprised we've not tried to rearrange the Cods game this month just to try and get some points on the board!!

A week or so later, how do you feel now?! Has beating Reading saved our season?
I wouldn't say it saved our season more covered a few cracks but until we're nicely nestled in that Top 6 there's a lot more wins needed before this side and Critch will convince us of our potential.

I wasjust responding to someone who thought our season hinged on the next two games.
