Really good for an hour, and plenty of chances to secure the points, don't know how Rhodes failed to score 1st half!!
However once they equalised we were so flat. We should have been in a position where Hamilton and Coulsen could be subbed by Gabriel and Lyons or Dale but because Connolly and Pennington were subs it limited our options.
Connolly shouldn't have been involved today if Pennington is fully fit.
 
Firstly I thought we played very well but this is exactly why I don't think we will go up even if we make the play offs. All season it has been the same. Give cheap bad goals away and don't convert our own chances and it was the same again today. I was surprised looking at our bench that we had nothing attacking wise to change anything. I didn't think we needed anything else up top but actually I think we do. We also need a CM and also at least 1 centre back. Also CJ to stop playing or being immune from being subbed would be nice too
 
Guilty of missing simple chances and very unlucky to hit the woodwork twice. To then score an own goal just about summed today up. A missed opportunity but felt the effort and performance more than deserved 3pts, so no point stressing too much. Rotate on Tuesday and really have a go at Stevenage.

Agree that overall we should have won the game, but I found myself wanting the final whistle, because I think Charlton might have nicked it, had the match continued for a further 10 minutes or so. They finished the stronger team, although until they equalised they were inferior in virtually all departments.
 
Shit does indeed happen, which is why it’s important not to piss about for one third of the season trying not to win games. It was over for us weeks ago barring miracle wins left right and centre just to close the gap a bit.

Exactly. Not only does it happen it should be expected to happen.
 
Had a feeling probably like a lot of people that it was going to be one of them days after the first half. Needed a two goal cushion and thought we didn’t look as good when Rhodes went off even tho we scored.

Two ways to look at it - we gained a point on Oxford and Barnsley or we lost 2 to Charlton.
