Shayne Lavery will be the difference tomorrow

When I saw both he and Yates were out last weekend I wondered if Critch had overthought it slightly. Picking the right attacking line-up is a tricky balancing act, and it might be overly simplistic to look at numbers. But even with a good, balanced team that's playing good football, scoring goals is a lot easier with a goalscorer on the pitch.
 
Lavery needs chances to convert though. Those have been in short supply..and him and Yates have been feeding off scraps. Our shots on target and goals per game stats are not too impressive (to put it mildly). There's two or three other players in the side that need to up their game significantly to allow the front two a chance to score.
 
Critch does have a bit of the “Tinkerman” about him but I’m sure it’s because he’s trying to outmatch the opposition’s players/formation.
