Draw and they progress to the next stage - defeat and they're out.
Be interesting to see how they rate this competition with the changes they make.
Bit of a luxury fixture for us because unless they win 4-0 we're up as group leaders anyway.

It makes me physically sick that we have to play in this competition. We should be enjoying an international break.

I would have just played the development squad through this competition so as to concentrate on the league.
Now we need to go as far as we can in this comp to keep interest going throughout the season!!!
 
My Morecambe pal tells me that Morecambe will be fielding a strong line up tonight as their league game this weekend has been postponed due to international call-ups !

Is there not a rule that you must use so many players who are part of the "Match Day Squad"? I remember one team substituting a player after a minute to get around this rule one season.
 
It's a useful competition for us to give players who need it match time. And some dev squad players a step up to a standard closer to first team. And to experiment.

So Kyle Joseph could get 45 minutes maybe. Jensen Weir and Andy Lyons need 90s. Kouassi Beesley Tharme. Squires Donkor Lankshear Daniels etc.

A draw tonight we both go through. Travelling from Morecambe with some Shrimps friends . People call these competition's personally enjoyed trips to Cardiff and winning x2 plus a promotion there.😀😀🍊🍊

Yes, I think its at least 4 available players must start the game.
