Simms and Everton

Everton fans have unfortunately seen the recent performance of Ellis and have been asked in a poll whether he should be included in the first team squad next season or go back out on loan, and at the moment it stands at over 60% to keep him.
Bad news for us maybe!

I don't think it would be good for his development to sit on the bench or more likely even not make the bench with Everton next season, he needs to play and get experience. He's a good prospect but not PL yet, needs a season in the Championship ideally with us but if not needs it with someone. Can't compare him and Richarlison or Calvert Lewin..... Not yet.

We should make an approach for him again in the summer for another season long loan. With the offer there should be a note.

In one season we have added £4m onto the price of your player. Let us have him for another season and you will have a £30m player on your hands.

Let us have him for 3 seasons and we’ll pay the 30m ourselves 👍

He has 1 year left on his contract I believe, IF we do go up, he is the sort of player we should be looking to bring in permanently or on loan. He seems a very level headed young man, always calm and clearly someone who takes instruction/coaching well. If he continues to improve, as he has, he'll have a brilliant career. For that he will need to make a decision on how long he waits for an opportunity at Everton or if playing most weeks at a decent level will serve him best.

1year left…we could buy him….why not? Stick a nice sell on clause to incentivise Everton.

Is the manager not allowed to make the decision then?
Maybe we should ask him to not sign a new contract when this one is over?
Everton may have to sell soon maybe?

He needs to come to his senses and realise that he'll have far more fun and adventures if he were to say cheerio to Everton and come and live by the seaside. (We can all dream eh?)

I feel it would be detrimental for Ellis to be included in the Everton first team at the moment. His words after the Oxford victory were telling. It was the first time he had played before a crowd, therefore tomorrow will be his first time before a crowd who love him. To be in the Premier and mess up a few chances in front of a full house, with expectations, at Everton, could set h back completely, particularly if he failed. He's far better off here for another twelve months.

I would imagine it’s exactly the same for Ballard.
A great player in league one but nowhere near ready for the premier league.
Would need at least another season playing at a higher level like the championship but even then no guarantees he’ll break in to the Arsenal squad let alone the first team.

Accepted but he has had experience playing against Prem quality players when turning out for Northern Ireland.

Ballard is probably already better than Arsenal's central defenders, he is extremely highly rated and as such we would have no hope of signing him permanently. If we do go up I would say there is a fair chance we'll get him on a season long loan. Maybe look to bring in Taylor Moore permanently as well?
