You own the club. You’ve always supported the team. Your tenure has been a joy so far.

Fans can moan and groan as much as they like, but I will never forget what you have done for the club and the honour you have returned.

Your judgements on recruitment are yours to make. It is your money and the outcome will always be at your feet.

Stay strong and ignore the noise. If this manager recruitment doesn’t work out then make the decision to change at the correct time for the club. This you already know of course!

If it works out, the noise dissipates and you can sit knowing why!

Spot on Chunkylad. With age, for me at least, comes understanding , perspective, and hope. Who knows what the future holds - the present crop of doom mongers disappoint me. Perhaps they should look up "If" by Rudyard Kipling - it might calm them down. Time now to give the new manager our backing and support. If not then it is time for some posters on here to look for a new team to follow.
 
Agree with all that Chunkylad well said! If anybody told me how to spend my money I’d tell them to fuck off but I’m far too polite for that!

I said earlier this week that we couldn’t really judge him from the Oyston period as our club is now chalk and cheese to then.

Too many people that as you said supported them or seem to forget what a laughing stock we were to all and sundry. Clown club with a clown in charge
 
Quite right. I was not happy about the appointment of Michael Appleton (partly because of his previous stint) but I respect your decision and wish him every success.

I think it is fair to say that every Blackpool fan owes a debt of gratitude to Simon and will support him every inch of the way.
 
Perfectly put Chunky. If it wasn't for SSS we may now not have a team to support. Some fans seem to forget that. Although I do suspect the nobbers have been out in force on this board stirring the sh*t because they have nothing better to do. For me, the fact that Appleton walked previously when he realised what he had gotten himself into, tells me he has good judgement. His track record as manager is ok and he has never got a team relegated as far as I'm aware. Not bad given been at clubs with limited resources. He will have my full support for at least as long enough to be able to make a proper judgement....
