Singapore

S1 make sure a visit to a market to eat a Durian is on the list😀
Oh and a “”Singapore-Sling” and a “half yard of ale” at the Raffles Long Bar too👍🤣

I love that hotels have signs up banning you from bringing the smelly D fruit into their lobby’s

You should have smelt mine & S1’s drivers car.
We let him have the remains of the fruit he thought he had “won the pools”
The“stench” soon came from the boot into the car.🤮🤮

They do sell Durians in Singapore but they definitely don’t have the land to grow them…..by the way it isn’t the smell or even the taste you should most fear it is one dropping on your head and that is is a distance possibility believe me.

I actually tried mine in KL but yes, I think is one fell on your head it would be very “messy” and create a “bit of claret” assuming you were still conscious to know!!!

If you are still looking for things to do off the top of my head:

Southern Ridges, Macritchie treetop walk or Bukit Timah Reserve- few green spaces left but what there is is good
Pulau Ubin- bumboat to rustic island
Arab Street- good for drinks round there
Orchard Road for shopping- kinokuniya bookshop is the only good one on the island
Din Tai Fung and Wing Seong Fatty’s for a feed

It really isn’t all Marina Bay Sands type ostentation. Good place for a holiday and to live for a while.
