He has the highest win ratio in modern times apart from Allardyce. That isn't 'piss poor' by any measure if your intention is to win football matches.
He has one promotion, one consolidation at a higher level with low resource and one season where we are on the fringe of the playoffs. Again that is not 'piss poor' by any reasonable yard stick.

Which coaches should Saddler have appointed?

Now this is a question I am not answering. What I will say is that he should appoint someone with no previous connection to the club and stop going back to previous managers, throw away his 50 page dossier and appoint on experience and instinct.

Why do you keep on using hate,hatred and other such extreme rhetoric. Nowhere have I ever said, in any of my posts, I hate Critchley. As you pointed out in one of your earlier posts, most of us have never met him. Dislike of his tactics, managerial ability, yes, hate no. I just think he has no idea of, or interest in playing good entertaining football. His mindset is in youth football, where results are not the first consideration. He has only played one league game, which isn’t enough to say been there done that. That’s why he needs another Calderwood, who has been there and done that and can read and react to a situation. Who coaches by instinct as much as laptop. Someone who can see things aren’t going right and change them before the manual tells them to. In short Critchley isn’t a manager, he’s a strictly by the book coaching robot.

People in the industry say he’s a top coach, been there and done it etc etc . I’ve always backed him but I have become more critical of his persistence to play a certain way and his failure to change things, having said that I don’t think his squad of players he has amassed give the options to effect a situation presented on the pitch. We clearly do not have enough wide players who can carry the ball forward. Our failure to get results at some of the lower teams has exposed one of the flaws in the squad. We all know you need a minimum of 18 players on a match day who can play in a 11 to win a game. Since Keough left we have never replaced him and we lack a big footballing CH who can influence the team. Our midfield does have potential but we do depend on Dembele at 20yrs and he failed to turn up on Saturday. Another ball playing midfielder is needed. Up front what do we have, Joseph a good player not found the net yet, but I believe will come good, Lavery has pace but lacks composure seems to rush everything. Beesley gives you everything but needs to improve his hold up play, good man to have in your squad though. We must find a striker with pace and muscle who can score goals simple. The answer to all of these issues is simple produce them within or spend more money.

That seems a strange question on which to end your post! And, stranger still, is the fact that, while you actually begin to undertake the task of posing a question, you don't specify 'who', exactly, it is being directed at! And, just to clarify, are you suggesting the individual you are addressing should: (a) consider offerring counselling as a service to benefit others; or (b), maybe give some thought to the possibility of actually putting themselves through a program of counselling, as a means of achieving some level of insight into any difficulties they might be experiencing on a personal level.

I’ve been known for the odd reactionary post on here so thought I’d sleep on yesterday’s result.

Bitterly disappointed. I wouldn’t say the season is over but the fat lady is definitely on stage, cleared her throat and stepped up to the mic.

My dislike for Critchley is know. Most on here think it’s over a flag and walking out on us, but you couldn’t be further from the truth. I just think he’s lost his mojo and we’re pretty boring to watch, even when we win.

Where is the excitement? The attacking intent? The bravery?

I’m past saying “Critchley Out” cos there’s no point. Simon Sadler has made it clear he’s going nowhere. There was still a hangover from last seasons miserable campaign. I genuinely think the players forgot how to win games, hence the 0-0 safety first snore fests at the start of the season.

Summer will be very important regarding recruitment. I genuinely think we’re close to being a good team. Shift some of the deadwood out (CONNOLLY) and get a bit of creativity and steel/shithousery in and we’ll make the playoffs next season

Agree with most of that. I think the next transfer window will be critical in terms of improving the quality in the squad. I also agree with those that say NC should review his support staff to have an better sounding board on tactics, etc
