I can't remember a time when we signed so many talented players for our club.
Be they loans, permanents or for the development squad, the backroom staff at the club deserve huge credit.
How some can describe our efforts as 'scattergun' is beyond me; these are well-selected targets we have had in our sights.
Given our resources, we could not possibly have done better than the group of players we've brought in.
We can't go and sign Ronaldo, but would we want him when we've got Josh?
 
For me its about intent. The club are putting football decisions first which is most of what I want. Not everything is going our way clearly, specifically, where we've tried to add permanent quality, it's hard because when you pay £1m plus fees, the player expects more wages than we feel we can pay. But I'm confident and happy with the direction of the club and accept the limitations we have and feel we'll keep trying to get the right players rather than just sign whoever.
