Apart from the goal He only had 2 average at best saves didn’t he in 2 hours? He'd played really well up to Saturday, but tonight he was very poor with his distribution and mistakes.
I think the occasion got to him!
Yep. Not conceded from open play as yet. He's never let England or Gareth Southgate down.We won and some of you have a go at Pickford...by the way it was a decent free kick and one we shouldn’t have given away in the first case.
oh well I guess that what some people enjoy doing.
Agreed but we always have to have a scapegoat even when we win don't we?He was ok but I thought his kicking was poor tonight. Needs to be more assured come Sunday.
Kicks like a mule and ideal in penalty shoot outs/one-on-ones or situations where there's no time to think. He's a good 'un.He's a strange one is Pickford. For every balls up he makes he does something equally brilliant.
He probably wouldn't be my own choice as he seems to get almost hyper with excitement (thus the stupid distribution) but he's Southgate's choice - and that's good enough for me. He's let one goal in too which is stupendous (although I really would credit Phillips and Rice for making us more solid as a defensive unit than we've ever been).
His super reaction and alertness is probably adrenaline driven in some part, but it’s probably the same adrenaline that can lead him towards nerves and overreaction driven mistakes. He's a strange one is Pickford. For every balls up he makes he does something equally brilliant.

Yep. You make the best of the person you have and Gareth Southgate quickly made him his number one in place of Joe Hart. Who is very similar but JP has time on his side with the right specialist coaching whereas I think there was a point in time with Hart where something happened (the Pirlo penalty?) and he just didn't recover mentally. His super reaction and alertness is probably adrenaline driven in some part, but it’s probably the same adrenaline that can lead him towards nerves and overreaction driven mistakes.
It’s a double edged sword maybe, but statistically he’s well on top of it.

Germany was a small game then? The penalty shoot out in the last World Cup was a small game?He looked rattled tonight, hadn’t got the minerals for the big games
Ringer for his dadYeah I agree. I posted in the match thread he just needs a Maguire or a Stones to pat the hand down and tell him to just calm down.
His reaction saving is superb and I agree there is nobody better. Bloody Schmeichel Junior has lived here more than Denmark! How dare he!
Well let’s be honest, that free kick wasn’t exactly in the top corner...Germany was a small game then? The penalty shoot out in the last World Cup was a small game?
Don't talk shite, name one time he's cost us a goal?
Saw it late, because their wall was illegally in the way (thought the referee had a bit of a shocker tonight.) , the got to he same type of height but with more power against Germany.Well let’s be honest, that free kick wasn’t exactly in the top corner...
Struggles to hit the pitch when kicking at times....Keeps punching balls he should easily catch and his kicking is terrible.
He has made a few decent stops. He didn't have his best game but has been excellent for the majority of the tournament. I think collectively we need to stop and actually appreciate the achievements of this group of players and get 100% behind them on Sunday.
Not sure what you mean by “illegally in the way”Saw it late, because their wall was illegally in the way (thought the referee had a bit of a shocker tonight.) , the got to he same type of height but with more power against Germany.
He's never cost England a goal.
Far too many stones being cast at PickfordHe'd played really well up to Saturday, but tonight he was very poor with his distribution and mistakes.

3 days. He’s the best we have at the moment and a very good reactive shot stopper his only problem is what goes on in his head at times and you can see it affects him, but he's got time to sort this.
He's the best keeper we've got, but jittery as fuck!Let’s be honest. No one is looking at that game and saying keeper masterclass are they? But still only conceded one goal on the competition. Hope he cuts out the distribution errors for the final.
The Danish players lined up a wall and moved across just before the kick was taken. Against the rules. Kick should have been retakenNot sure what you mean by “illegally in the way”
I called it. He played as badly as Donnerumma and Simon the night before. He'd played really well up to Saturday, but tonight he was very poor with his distribution and mistakes.

Thanks Lala for reposting the original post and comments. Laughable isn't it.Might not be a golden glove in this competition, but Pickford has had an almost stunning tournament in my opinion. Why Pickford hasn't won Golden Glove, despite having most Euro 2020 clean sheets
Jordan Pickford has finished Euro 2020 with the most clean sheets at the tournament after Italy beat England in the final on Sunday. The England goalkeeper conceded just two goals in the competitio…www.google.com
