I’m glad he has gone but you do have to sympathise with Appleton with the injuries plus other factors such as second season syndrome, better opposition than the other managers mentioned. I think he is better than most of them but I will never forget the fact he played strikers on the wing.

He's average but just didn't fit our club and was unlucky but made his own mistakes too.
Wish him well, nice bloke, just didn't work out.

He was absolute pants. Outrageous appointment in the first place - no fans wanted him - never a good sign - stood on the touchline looking completely bored - seemed to lack motivation - constantly played round pegs in square holes - one of the wort Managers in BFC historyn in mu opinion. Dreadful. Delighted he's gone. Whoever we get, I truly believe will be better. Problem is we have left the sacking 2/3 months too late and will now take the guts of a miracle to keep us in this league, irrespective of who the new Manager is.

I think Appleton is probably OK at League One level, and has been a bit unlucky this season with lack of key players injuries, red cards etc.
Better than those mentioned in the OP. I don’t think he was the right appointment for this club last summer though.

Jesus Christ. The obsession with ex managers. The club isn’t anything like it was 10 years ago. This knowing the club stuff is nonsense.
