Assuming we make the playoffs, who would you rather face in the home/away first phase?

For me it'd have to be Lincoln ..

Lincoln for me definitely.

They're clinging onto the play-offs for dear life, they'll be absolutely out of steam come the end of the season if they do manage to - combine that with no they're going to have an even more congested fixture schedule having a game called off today. Perfect play-off opponent over two legs!

Lincoln probably won't make the play offs.

At this stage of the season I reckon goal difference is a pretty good indicator of how things will finish. There's a clear top 6, but Lincoln's form is terrible and their GD is deteriorating rapidly. Gillingham and Charlton look like the sides with the current form to take advantage of that.

I think...
Auto Hull Sunderland
Playoffs Posh Pompey Blackpool
Plus Charlton Gillingham Ipswich or Oxford.

Hull 33
Sunderland 30
Posh 29
Lincoln 15
Portsmouth 15
Blackpool 14
Doncaster 7
Oxford 6
Charlton 5
Gillingham 5
Ipswich 3

We've beaten both Posh and Pompey home and away already. I think we wouldn't want to face Ipswich or Gillingham.

I have wondered if it would be good to scrap points and base league tables on goal difference! It would stop teams protecting leads and 'game management' and encourage teams to keep trying to score, as well as defend well, for 90+ minutes. I'm sure it will be laughed out of court.

Every chance that we make the play-offs, odds on now I'd imagine.

I wouldn't give a feck who we played in the semis or the final and I wouldn't give a feck what the scores against any of our play-off opponents were during the normal season.

I don't think Lincoln will end up in a playoff spot.
I also think that Hull and Sunderland will go up automatically.
Of the remaining teams I think that both Peterborough and Portsmouth will be more wary of us rather than the other way round.
Gillingham and Doncaster will run out of steam, so that leaves Oxford, Charlton, Ipswich and Blackpool.
Things don't always pan out how you think or like but I think Pool will have enough to get there and if so only have Ipswich to worry about.

My top 6

Hull
Sunderland
Peterborough
Blackpool
Portsmouth
Ipswich

Unless we get more key injuries then there are no teams to fear in this division. Just concentrate on winning one game at a time and keep
relaxed. We are in the last 100 metres of the race just behind the leading pack, we now have to just concentrate on our own sprint finish,
hopefully, they won't see us coming.
The play offs are an entirely separate race, there will be at least one of the front three of Posh, Sunderland, and Hull in it, hopefully, more.
