I doubt anyone can help, but it’s worth a try. My daughter has a court agreement for custody of her children. Her ex is very wealthy and is threatening to go to court to get custody for himself. My daughter is on ben and can’t afford a solicitor, unless of course someone did it for free. First off she just needs some advice. Any suggestions?

Citizens advice, plus isn't first half hour consultation with a solicitor free. It's pretty rare to award custody to the man & I wouldn't have thought money would influence the decision. My take on this from my limited knowledge is, that unless there is a genuine concern (drug abuse, neglect etc) for the safety of the children in the care of the mother, they tend to leave them with custody (or joint)
This is purely my opinion.

Depending on finances she may be eligible for legal aid
Personally I wouldn't just rock up at a legal clinic as the person there may not an expert in that field - she needs a specialist appointment
To be fair Ted's firm have people to advise
Our Family Department offer Legal Help ( FOC is you qualify ) and an initial consultation service

There is some legal aid for specific types of matter
Issues relating to children being one though not my area so best put the question as to ‘ where and when ‘ to the relevant department
