Some Bloomfield Rd facts.

Here’s a fact about BR I like to remind myself of when the results aren’t there…

Thanks to the tangerine community and the hope that SS brought to us after a long period of darkness, the stands are no longer covered in rust and the seats are free of bird poo.
I’m pro SS, but didn’t the fans clean the seats?

In WW2 the ground was requisitioned and the pitch was a designated emergency landing zone, amongst other locations in the town, for Allied aircraft in trouble. Home games played in the wartime Lg at the ground had to have prior permission from the RAF to take place. Not a lot of people know that🤔

If I’m not mistaken weren’t the original plans designed to hold 20,000 after the completion of the east stand?
If so I THInk would’ve be a decent gate size.
And I also thought that I read somewhere that the south, north and west stands could be cantilevered to take us up to24k.

Close to 19000
15036 according to an article in The Stoke Sentinel on 3rd feb this year. Reading further into the article it states its unable to have the 19000 capacity due to lack of a safety certificate due to not enough toilets....!
