Points gained from scoring 1st v points gained whilst conceding 1st

Seems somewhat simplistic, but would appear to say ...if we score 1st we dont lose, and if ( they ) score 1st we have only got 2 points this season thus far, and not won. My take on that would be go like the clappers ..from the off and score first. Obviously I'm no manager or coach, but would seem a conclusion to draw. Therefore if wanting to score 1st, start the best team capable of doing so, ...not the team trying not concede 1st

?

Interesting...

If nothing else, I think we can take a few positives from last nigh and also the second half performance against Peterborough. What we have shown on both occasions, is that we are more than capable of getting ourselves back into a game, despite an early set back. To that extent, we can possibly go into games with a bit more positivity and perhaps not be overly concerned about going a goal behind.

We've got the firepower and ability to get ourselves back into any game IMHO.

This City fan drew stats from all 380 games in the 2011/12 EPL season to determine the effect of scoring first. In that season and league.

Teams scoring first at home....
72% won. 17% drew. 12% lost.

Teams scoring first away....
61% won. 26% drew. 13% lost.

NC is all over those stats mate - stop the opposition scoring and reduce their chances of them winning. simples
