Song for Sonny Carey

To the tune of Abba super trouper

Sonny Carey,
He was a Canary
Now he's by the sea
Signed him from non-league
Sonny Carey's Tangerine ๐ŸŠ
Good shout...

However incase we don't want to mention other clubs in the chant....

Sonny Carey,
His skill is ** scary
Playing by the sea
Signed him from non-league
Sonny Carey's Tangerine ๐ŸŠ

Yes I know annoying when people change chants.... ๐Ÿ˜

Either way chants put on here never get going, unless you get it to someone in the Armfield so a few lads can song it I guess.

Not annoying, always worth a few tweaks. I think that's the one, maybe "skills are ** scary"

Kids and wet wipe version....

Sonny Carey,
His football skills are scary
Playing by the sea
Signed him from non-league
Sonny Carey's Tangerine

What about a Film for him?

Carey on up the Pitch, starring (Sid) James Husband, Kenneth Dougall (Williams), Charles Patino (Hawtey), Jim Owen Dale (onloan to Elstree studios), and Bernard Bresslaw as Gary Madine.

Im liking your work there . Far too much time on your hands on a Monday afternoon ๐Ÿ˜

Even got the option of changing it to this....

Sonny Carey,
His skill is ** scary
Playing by the sea
He ** hates PNE
Sonny Carey's Tangerine ๐ŸŠ
like Charlie Patino for the last line, then we can start the next song off without missing a beat

Very good folks. I vote for Mike's original concept, or JJs adaptation for daytime television.

Fascinates me, all this. How do they happen? Does the entire contents of Block A-B attend choir practice every Thursday evening? Is there a hymn book left on their seat with all the words in? Does Raggy actually say, and now we'll all stand - oh, you're standing anyway - and sing Hymn 28 Charlie Patino?

Or keep it simple by reusing Glad All Over for Sonny (or someone else)....

"We've got ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ Sonny Carey" ad infinitum

We've got super Sonny Carey.
We've got Sonny on our minds.
He's tangerine and white,
He's f*ckin dynamite,
And when he scores we'll sing this song all night.

To the tune of 'bad moon rising'
