Yes. I was at the Rolls Building on Wednesday (just like meeting an old friend!) when the hearing for the winding up petition was adjourned again. It was a very close run. The first thing that happened after the barrister for HMRC stood up was that four other barristers representing supporting creditors got to their feet to say their clients also wanted the club wound up. The judge made it very clear that if the company wasn’t a football club it would have been put under on Wednesday.

Martin won’t get another chance and has to complete the sale by 4 October.

Big relief for the fans who were looking at the end of their club on Wednesday morning.

It's a big moment for them and for their long suffering supporters. The Trust there have really stepped up to the plate in recent times and I'm sure have made a real difference.

They still face some pretty profound challenges, but at least they can look forward to something better now.

The fans are euphoric this evening so let’s hope the sale actually completes on 1 November.
