Spare a thought for the ground staff

They were there until 1AM on Tuesday night putting the covers on, and have been working their nuts off ever since - including every night.
As the Head Groundsman posts, the pitch was 100% playable.
Thanks for your considerable efforts 👏

Yep thought it would be, despite what people on here were saying.

Shocking by the FA how they weren't on top of the issue far sooner.

Good effort to the ground staff and club.

Really?

Monitoring the pitch for 72 hours including moving the lights around every two hours is going above and beyond in my book.

Well done to Paul Flynn and team.
WTF do they expect in winter with no(too expensive) underground heating?

Paul is a very good groundsman who has got our pitch great but sorry in a cold snap I couldn't give a toss what the extra effort that he has to do from someone who works outside.

No criticism and I know they work super hard but the pitch was certainly showing signs of the cold snap having an effect.

Very interesting peice from TTV, seems like the club is willing to invest in the pitch and training ground but still a lot more investment required.
