Specialist penalty takers

Is there a case for naming a specialist penalty taker in the squad? I'm not taking about a player chosen for his ability to play well in a particular position who happens to be good at penalties, I'm taking about someone who can't dribble, can't tackle, can't pass, is slow as a carthorse (could be older) who can't do anything well other than score consistently at penalties because that's all they practise and perfect. A bit like a circus performer who is exceptional at one particular skill.

Bring them on in extra time with a minute to go.

That takes care of one penalty, what about the other four? Or would he be allowed to take all five? Raises a lot of questions.

All players for the national team should be capable of taking decent penalty. They are supposed to be at the the top of their game
It’s surprising how many professional footballers can’t kick a ball with any degree of accuracy. Let’s face it kicking a ball is what they supposedly spend their professional life doing, the number who are right or left footed only is incredible. I remember reading a book about George Best, when he was young Matt Busby told him his right foot wasn’t as strong as his left so he practiced on his own with a football boot on one foot and a slipper on the other. That kind of commitment should be around for £100,000s per week. Tin hat donned.

Ravanelli missed a sitter for 'Boro once, and by sitter I mean an open goal. Commentator said 'Well it was on his weaker right foot'

At £100000 plus per well I couldn't believe it.

I was Sunday Lge level and could use both feet equally as good (or bad I guess as I was on Sunday Lge Level 😂) .... But you get my point.

On another note I'll hold my hand up, I slagged off Rashford, Sancho and Saka. I'd have slagged off Grealish, Shaw, Mount if they'd have missed. I went on a rant because their penalties were missed, and for that reason only.

If anyone here brought their colour of their skin into their views then they need a long hard look at themselves. Those same people would have been cheering Stirling when he scored and crying out for Sancho to be playing.

Let's stop picking of people and stop being a country of bellends and chavvy thugs
