Saw a small drilling rig about 3/4 mile South of the Starr Gate slipway almost next to the Sandhills. There were a couple of vans & 5 worker’s. So being a nosy sod I went & asked. I was a little surprised at the answer “we’re drilling a hole & we’re just contractor’s we don’t know what it’s for” I can’t believe that. On my way back I sac a different van & a guy got out with a distance measuring wheel so I asked him too. He said he knew but couldn’t tell me. Then as I walked further away in the distance the same workers from the rig sort of escorted a lorry about 150 metres seaward & it stopped. All rather strange, the lorry looked to have some sort of portacabin on the back. I was too far away to see exactly what it was. Anybody got any clue’s?

A spacecraft crashed last night...

I walked past it the other day. Weirdest thing was that they had a built a fence around themselves. Health and safety? What did they think was going to happen

Yeah, also I don't want to be too critical, but... have you tried moving closer to the object and then taking the picture?

Neither do I 🙄 but I’d walked nearly back when I turned round to put the dog on his lead & saw the truck. Come on Sherlock if anyone can find out what’s going on it’s you. 😬

Something to do with sand collection? They've been trying to get it going again for four years now, the huts look like they've been trhough an apocalypse.

I was looking at that as well this morning. I thought they were drilling for oil. I suppose we need to outdo the Saudis.

I walked past today and there's a notice posted giving permission for ground investigation surveys on behalf of offshore windfarm companies.
