St George’s Day

I haven’t got a drop of English in me but always thought I was and always supported England no matter what. Mothers side from Belfast, fathers side 3 generations ago was a Norwegian fisherman shipwrecked of the coast of Southport and never went home.

With a Shakespearean twist.

‘‘Twas a verily top day 🤣🍊
"T'was..."
I really am such a tiresome bore. But, if something is grammatically incorrect, I'm afraid I feel it's my duty to address the matter. So I apologise, Blackpool_Rox. It's just the way I am.

Apologies, Blackpool_Rox, I've just double-checked this and it can be either/or - twas or t'was. I will report myself to the grammer for such impudence!

Should've read: 'I will report myself to the grammer police...' I will most certainly do so now! I just hope they go easy on me.

As well as it being the date on which the bard subsequently passed away... (One for all you pub quizzers out there.)
Didn’t know that but even more weird is that my neighbours mum & dad had the same birthday & went out to celebrate, it was back in the day when drinking and driving wasn’t a big deal, they had a crash & both died, it’s not the most uplifting story you’ll hear granted but it happened

I hope your neighbours don't read this board.
