ST renewal and 1st time season ticket holders

Pay the same early bird prices. I mean, I’ve been on hold to the ticket office for an hour (thanks new website) and was always renewing but nothing extra for renewers? Even a tenner voucher to use in the club shop. Just seemed a bit odd.

Cue the “oh look at me, after something for nothing, entitled super fan wanker” responses

Take your point, but why stay on hold, we have until the end of June surely?

Was in ticket office this morning quite a large queue considering.
Whilst in there phone was constantly ringing.
Sounds to me like they need to sort the website out re ticket orders/renewals

Maybe we'll get a special badge in the post. Some sort of little gesture would have been a nice touch, the shop voucher/discount being the obvious, but I'm happy enough getting my seat again

Anyone know what the increase is after the early bird period? I want 2 in the North but all the seats available are very low down so might wait to see if anyone doesn't renew in a better position.

Renew then move after seats of those who don’t have been released.
Can you do that?? I'm low down in the North but wouldn't mind moving higher up..I was worried that if I waited to see if people had renewed or not that my current seats would become available and I would lose them

I went to the ticket office today about 1220, about 20 on the queue but was sorted within 45 minutes and that was relocating from last season

Cos I wanted it done. And now it is. £2 service charge, loyal exiles shafted again…
You can be satisfied now that all this extra money will go back into the club, it grated with me years ago when stuff like this happened.

When I have to pay these extra little costs now, I do so knowing it's a little extra help towards the overall big picture.

Renew in your current seats then, when the early bird prices end, go back to the ticket office and see if you can swap to the higher up vacant seats if they are available.

Just renewed online and all went very smoothly. The new linked site had also retained the information on the STs I bought on behalf of others last season. Impressed 👍

This is true. At least my money won’t be funding mammoth skeletons and Ferraris

As long as you do it before season cards are issued, if we are getting new ones that is, you should be able to do it for free. If we keep the same cards there may be a charge. Other than that, no issues doing it.

I renewed on-line but moved seat due to incessant moaner where i sat last season. That only works obviously if the seat you want to move to is available. To be fair a seamless process for me anyways.

My understanding is we are keeping our existing cards. Expect there will be a charge for changeover to different seats which seems fair enough.
I and a friend moved our seats with no charge. The confirmation says season ticket cards will be sent out nearer the start of the season.

I rang up go check, said it will be free if done before the cards are sent out. Also said they have been very busy and the website keeps going down with more new people than renewals

If thats the case and new ST holders then that'd be fantastic. Or could it be people registering for memberships too?

That's what I thought. She said a lot of people have been put off by the new match day prices
So people put off by the new match day prices, what so are buying season tickets? Or if they're registering memberships they aren't put off as such, yes by the 30 or 32 so with membership it's 25 or 27.

Still very high.

How do they know people are put off by the prices with no games yet? Unless as said people are buying ST instead.....

I get am asking you who only spoke to someone 😬

I think I saw somewhere that we keep last season's cards

Yes buying season tickets instead because they think it's much better value per game. People who can't make it to every game but at this price decided it was worth it to buy a season ticket and have their own seat every game instead of buying individual games. This is what people buying over the phone had been saying this morning

Ahh, interesting.

So that will put the attendance average up as they are counted for all games now rather then ones they attended. Well, if all others renewed.

Suppose it makes sense to push some to ST'S as given the price, its the deal to have.

But maybe not good news also, as if this is what some people are doing due to the price then what are people who will only attend some games or the odd games do, if price is indeed not going down particularly well.

What will walk on fans do, people less attached....

Hmmm.

On the other hand, I've been with Sky for about 20 years and if I joined as a new customer I'd get so much more than I get now. At least they're not offering new customers a better deal than you're on.
