Stand Sponsorship

Noticed all the Yangzhee, or whatever they are called, broadband signage is missing off the West stand.
Thought that they were sponsoring it from halfway through last season onwards.

Yayzi still haven't rolled out to many places yet, I considered them but you can't use them if they aren't there yet, seemed premature....

Thanks for the correct spelling - found the related "official" article which states "long term sponsorship". Somethings strange because their signage was allover the West last season.Screenshot_20220725-005434_Samsung Internet.jpgScreenshot_20220725-005319_Twitter.jpg

My understanding is that Yayzi have been hit with big delays from their network build partners, so their planned rollout across the area is around 18months behind schedule - so they're really stuck because they can't expand until the work is done, so all they are really doing is servicing existing customers until they're in a position to expand, and they therefore negotiated cancelling the stand sponsorship for now, because there isn't really a service for them to sell yet.

I had a look at them as their speeds sound really good, I'm 5 minutes from their offices but they don't cover my area 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like they've started marketing way too soon. I know someone who contacted them and they asked them to get everyone on their street to chip in to pay for the cost of digging up and re-laying the road to lay the cables etc, plus it was then either a 3 or 5 year contract per household, I can't remember which.

I'm the same, but just the St Annes side of the airport. BT have just installed ducting all around here ready for fibre, so Yayzi have said they can stick fibre in easily now, as they have a main bearer going straight down Clifton Drive.
They're happy to put it all in for nothing, and only start charging when my existing broadband deal (sky) runs out, so I can run the two in parallel and see how they compare, with no financial risk. Sky and BT say it will be at least 18 months before they are offering full fibre here, so for the same cost as 50mb sky, I can get 150mb up and down on Yayzi. No brainer, if it's reliable.
The concern with Yayzi is their backup - they're a new, small company with limited resources, and I get the feeling they are kinda learning on the job, making it up as they go along.
