Stewards

Is it me getting older or are the stewards getting younger. Not sure how much use some of them would be any disorder.

The club have maybe thought that if some fans are going to behave like entitled children, they may as well be stewarded by them too.

Pay is crap. Most adults wouldn’t bother looking at stewarding. Crap job and thankless task.

Yea a nice young chap welcomed me as I entered the south from the concourse….reminded me of a year 11 prefect welcoming prospective child and parents on a new High School viewing evening

Thought the stewards outside the North were very good last night , keeping people in the long queue informed and explaining that they were trying their best to get people in as quick as they could , even allowing for the software issues

The stewards in the south were helpful and cheerful and up for a bit of banter. Goes a long way towards 'crowd control' in my opinion. They're not the police and I wouldn't expect them to wade in to break up a fight.

I try to be pleasant and well mannered towards the stewards in my area. It's not the nicest job in the world.
