Glad you are enjoyingJust had the red hot chilli pipers who were quite good. Now Wilco Johnson, who’s in terrific choppy form tonight. The beers taste sweeter after today’s win. Great weekend so far.

Have a trip to Durham in 3 weeks, never been before , so any general tips appreciated.
Enjoy
Big County is Durham; weather dependent, the coast is beautiful for miles from Blackhall northwards.Glad you are enjoying

I’m actually just visiting Durham the city and the staying overnight at a farm in Yorkshire on the way home.Big County is Durham; weather dependent, the coast is beautiful for miles from Blackhall northwards.
If it's cold or fog bound; it's awful!
Sorry we’ve not seen anything of it as the fest is a couple of miles outside Durham near Bearpark & I just followed the satnav to Middlesbrough. Some nice countryside on the way though. I quite like it up here. I’ve not had time to explore the area yet, perhaps tomorrow as it’ll be our first uninterrupted day. Ushaw Historic house is where we’re at. I’ll have a look in the morning probably in the rain 🌧.Glad you are enjoying

Lala tell me what you like to see and do. It's been my home town the majority of my life. A simple summary is that the city itself is a day trip really. The cathedral and walks around the riverbanks are fantastic. Hopefully the cathedral is now open for visitors, go up the tower, they limit numbers. If you're driving over stop at Barnard Castle. Beamish is near Durham and is worth a visit, it's a full day.Glad you are enjoying

Not really that muchI’m actually just visiting Durham the city and the staying overnight at a farm in Yorkshire on the way home.
So, besides a bit of retail therapy I’m just wondering if there is anything in particular worth visiting in the city besides having a look at the cathedral
Ushaw is fantastic. It's got the best preserved ball (triple) court left in the UK. On the east side of the main building.Sorry we’ve not seen anything of it as the fest is a couple of miles outside Durham near Bearpark & I just followed the satnav to Middlesbrough.
