Still unattached 6 months contract
Worth a punt ??????
If we can afford to turn down 3m
Paying his wages for 6 months is within reason
Especially getting rid off all these non playing players

Wages?? Not a chance.

I'm all for competition for places, but I don't think we need anyone to compete with Kevin Stewart for the physios table.
The man is a walking (or limping) injury.

The problem with signing a free agent is match fitness, unless they've been playing for a club who have suddenly released them, they've obviously not been playing games, they can be physically in great shape but it's a huge difference. We're now in February, if we brought a free agent in today, by the time they're match fit the season will be pretty much over.

Jack Wilshire is a quality footballer, but with his injury record I'm not surprised he's still without a club, he will probably end up abroad or league one. Look at Kevin Stewart as an example, he left Hull because he wanted to stay in the Championship, his injury record put clubs off so he ended up dropping down to league one to sign for us. We were willing to take the risk as we got a Championship level player in league one, unfortunately in hindsight it was madness to give him a new contract in the summer.

Good points you have made
But The same could be said with Andy Carroll at wba they took a chance just on a 6 months contract
The club always could do pay as you play 6 month contract
For me it’s a win win
He has been training with arsenal
Just unfortunate we didn’t get one in to cover that position
