To be fair after a couple of dodgy years they seem very stable at the moment. A lot of teams coming up the leagues seem to reach a point and then go backwards. They've been in L1 for 8 years I think now and that's impressive. I don't want to go back to playing them next season because it brings the worst out in everybody.

Even league 2 is a massive thumbs up to their management team and owner. The Cods have been non league and bottom of that pyramid for most of my life. They’ve now got a Scottish Legend in charge of them. Fan base isn’t there but they’re doing well for such a tiny club

My boy is at Fleetwood academy and this phenomenal news for them.

This means they will be a Cat 2 academy from next season. They are already operating as a Cat 2 academy in terms of funding and staff and this dome effectively pays for itself. Hopefully a few more academy lads get big money moves and the club can start to become self reliant.
