There will I'm sure be some people who are going to be adversely affected by this storm.
This has been going on for time in memoriam.
Here's an example of this scaremongering.
Last month I was in the USA.
On their morning news it was all about this huge storm that had hit Great Britain. There was film of huge waves engulfing sea walls and trees being buffeted.
Nothing worse than I've seen before in Blackpool during the lights, with thousands of people walking down the prom.
I checked on BBC news UK.....it wasn't even being reported.....nothing...not even a line of print...

Up our way it's a storm, they are evacuating part of Brechin atm. Personally, on the edge of it, but to the East, looks like they are getting pounded and the worst rain is due around 20.00. 200 mm in a few hours. All this falling on ground already fairly sodden.

A natural planet occurrence, it heats up and it cools down. It maybe slightly enhanced by man's progession but the little we are trying to do now will have nothing to do with the outcome.

Don’t think I have ever seen such a low pressure reading on my barometer, and we are a few hundred miles North of the epicentre of the storm.

Water 4.4.M above normal in Brechin, town and housing estates cut off. Two poor folk died so far, reports of another chap missing in his car in floodwater.
Met Office has issued another red warning from Midnight tonight through Saturday for NE Scotland.

River Wyre was quite high this afternoon and fast flowing. Didn’t think we have had that much rain.
Seems to have been quite heavy rainfall in localised areas. From my morning paper wettest (24hrs up to 6 pm yesterday) Lincoln 3.95 in. Nottingham and Ipswich 3 in. Chester 2.86 in. so not just east side of country. Oxford 0.75 in., should be no problem for todays match.
