I have noticed that many people I know who are furloughed, shielding and/or working from home or whatever are getting quite into this lockdown .
For some it's been almost a year ,apart from odd break, they have been sat on their arse( don't say you haven't) ,no commuting ,binge watching movies etc

Many are joining in with the narrative of it's more productive lowers carbon footprint ,cleaner air or some bollux about te connecting with nature

I work in NHS and have noticed those that work from home have got more than cosy with this new set up and when they were asked to return made all kinds of excuses around being anxious etc - quite galling when you have to listen to this stuff when you have not worked from home for even one day . Not sure about other organisations but we are being told to help them readjust to coming back into the workplace and consider their psychological wellbeing

Maybe just had a tough day and had a disagreement with one of these who could not come in for socially distanced meeting because who would pick the kid up from school at 3pm ?? They are on a 9-5 contract
Anecdotally we noticed these homeeorkers were ,in general, first in when booking jabs

There are lots of issues around boredom ,mental health innit but does anybody else think some have learnt to love covid lickdowns and are not looking forward to normality

Sure I'll feel different after my tea and taken the dogs out

I think some of the retired, furloughed and home workers have got a higher level of fear about this pandemic than those who have gone out to work as normal all the way through it. Maybe watching too much of the news and being cocooned in their own homes for so long has had a profound effect on their mental health.
I feel sorry for them it would have driven me mad being at home so often for such a long time.

Add it to back bad back syndrome, stress and mental health issues. For every real case there are hundreds,if not thousands playing the system. Ive been summoned back into the office, although I have never been, having started new position during covid. I will put my case forward for working from home and a max of 2 days in office. If unsuccessful, they will need to find someone else.

Learn to relax and enjoy life y'awl. Spring is here, the Pool are doing well, pubs open for outdoor service quite soon. Let others get on with their lives and you get on with yours. Love is all you need.
Yep your right been out dogging and feel better - lots to look forward to just a bad day with entitled fkrs making out sitting on your arse is somehow stressful - I did say to her when she was whingeing " you are in a worst state than Syria " ,she clearly wasn't listening and she replied " I know"
