Indeed. I'd forgotten that Jet Black was that much older. Currently 81.i saw that, didnt realise that dave greenfield had been quite ill for a long time,
JJ burnel is 69!!!!!Couldn't believe how old they are, Cornwell was born in 1949 - it just makes me feel ancient.
I like the new song, but they are not really the same band with out their main creative force Hugh Cornwell. I saw them a few years ago and they played a selection of songs from the 70s and 80s. Not a bad way to pay your pension but just pure nostalgia.
Something better change, for me.Golden brown is my favourite track.
Yes. Tickets for Manchester, cancelled twice... 3rd time lucky this year.I've got their first ten albums and seen them 3 times but only once when Hugh Cornwell was with them. 85 in Manchester.
Once he left, I didn't listen much to the stuff they wrote after until I went to see them at the Grand in the late 90's. Saw them last at Rebellion a couple of years ago. They're brill live but were never the same once he left. Jet stopped playing gigs a while ago and of course with Dave Greenfield dying, it takes away the heart of the band.
Saying that, I'm off to see them on their last tour next year and will watch them at Rebellion next August.
I'm going mainly for Ruts DC tbh.Yes. Tickets for Manchester, cancelled twice... 3rd time lucky this year.
