Just seen the usual Cod away pub is closed from 3 on Wednesday. Is there another allocated away pub instead ? Or is everyone just going to Fleetwood ‘spoons ? Asking for trouble imo having us spread out.
The owner of the Strawberry doesn't want, "all the trouble we had last time". That's why he's closing the pub on the night of the match. Not another allocated pub as far as I’m aware. We’re having drinks in ma Kelly’s talbot rd first before going codland
Strawberry gardens must be able to afford to lose a lot of money by closing at 3
You should be ok in the Queen's.Just seen the usual Cod away pub is closed from 3 on Wednesday. Is there another allocated away pub instead ? Or is everyone just going to Fleetwood ‘spoons ? Asking for trouble imo having us spread out.
Not having pubs open for games is a case of reaping what you sow. I don't blame the owner. The owner of the Strawberry doesn't want, "all the trouble we had last time". That's why he's closing the pub on the night of the match
Yes, I've just spoken with the owner of the Strawberry and he reckons the Queen's will be the official away pub on Wednesday. You should be ok in the Queen's.

What a load of bollocks one flare set off by one fan and he shuts pub, happens all the time in Blackpool away pubs. Not having pubs open for games is a case of reaping what you sow. I don't blame the owner.
It’s weird how some on here want there to have been a major problem… when all that happened was a smoke bomb…What a load of bollocks one flare set off by one fan and he shuts pub, happens all the time in Blackpool away pubs.
Should lose the right to be the allocated pub for away fans,
Because the tool who posted doesn't even go to games. It’s weird how some on here want there to have been a major problem… when all that happened was a smoke bomb…
No he isn't. He's moved on to The Steamer.I don’t remember much trouble last time. Was a Saturday arvo and they must of took a load at the bar is the owner not Sid Little?
Apparently all the other away fans are fine. What a load of bollocks one flare set off by one fan and he shuts pub, happens all the time in Blackpool away pubs.

A night game is a different kettle of fish/cods and actually to hire a bit of security would easily be covered by the profits. Almost like some businesses don't want to succeed. The owner of the Strawberry doesn't want, "all the trouble we had last time". That's why he's closing the pub on the night of the match.
No, it's not that. Last year apparently, it was getting troublesome in and around the Strawberry but the senior police officer outside the pub was trying to force the owner to take in all of the fans stood around outside the pub, because it was the designated venue for away fans. The owner kept telling him that this would breech his capacity conditions and it was only when a female sergeant responsible for pub licensing concurred with the owner that it was decided to disperse the crowd.A night game is a different kettle of fish/cods and actually to hire a bit of security would easily be covered by the profits.
