The FT is reporting that Sky have just won a court order to block the illegal streaming of hit shows and football.

Looks as if it’s targeting pirate sites via the ISPs. Not sure about how the use of VPNs by individuals will be impacted. Bit too techy for me.

Sticking plaster over a gaping whole but it's a start.
Every man and his dog has a Firestick so for me it has to go back to the Internet server who used to send out warnings that they'd cut you off if you carried on using illegal means.

Start dishing out some thousand of pounds fines for having IPTV and you'd stop the illegal trade overnight as the people selling it are making thousands and people like myself who have it couldn't give a toss.

It's all just reactive, the illegal streamers will always be able to stay one step ahead. The EPL were confident that they had the solution 6 years ago.
