Ahead of the play off semi final tonight, Lincoln have signed England U21 international goalkeeper, Josef Bursik on an emergency loan from Stoke City. Apparently regular Imp’s No 1 is out under concussion protocols.

It does seem strange to be given permission to bring in such a player at this stage of the season, and could of course work against us too.

Goalkeepers are always an exception when it comes to arranging cover. It doesn’t matter how good your new keeper is, he won’t be familiar with the defence infront of him so it’s never a good situation.

Yes and apparently credited with being a key part of their turn around in fortunes towards the end of the season, so clearly a decent keeper upgrade for the Lincoln
