Just watching it now on iPlayer. Very harrowing. 20 years on and the true devastation of the event seems even worse than at the time.

I don’t mind admitting, it’s brought me to tears a few times already.

I’m still engrossed by this 20 years on. I watched the 6 part documentary 9/11 One Day in America yesterday and I agree, it doesn’t get any easier to watch.
 
Didn’t know that the first fireman to die, had one of the jumpers land on him as he entered the building
 
Still, no one investigates the eyewitness accounts and imagery of the 2nd plane not being a passenger plane.
 
I too watched the six parter One day in America back to back last night. Lots of unsung heroes. One part that stuck with me was the two fighter pilots who went up to bring down United 93 with unarmed jets. One was a newly qualified female pilot on her first mission. They were going to bring the plane down by flying into it front and rear in a suicide type mission. They aborted as the brave passengers on United 93 took matters into their own hands.

One of the first documentaries about this has many live eyewitness bits of footage of people saying that was a military plane and I recall seeing some freeze-frame pictures of one of the planes from underneath clearly showing it to be the wrong shape and colour to be a passenger plane.
I will have a look later.
 
The 9/11 Museum is truly a must visit place in your lifetime. Epic exhibits and a separate area where some heart wrenching video clips are shown not widely seen by the world audience.It also incorporates part of the ground zero building remains as part of the museum structure.

One of them features the awning at the front of one of the buildings, and every few seconds there is a distinct thud, which were the 'jumpers' hitting the structure and floor.
 
This documentary was following an FDNY station house and it was them who filmed the only footage on the first plane strike.

It's really good but the thuds of the jumpers landing on the mezzanine are horrid.

Just started watching Surviving, it's a toughie, I'm not sure we need the POV graphic of the plane hitting.

I never actually knew that the reporter and film crew who filmed the tower basically collapsing on them actually survived, they were, as he says, bloody lucky.

It still hold a grim fascination for me today, I'm not proud of it, it's the most horrendous thing I'll ever see and I was thousands of miles away, I was on annual leave and I'll always remember my Dad on the phone saying that those towers are going to collapse and me telling him not to be so bloody stupid....

Eye witnesses reported an explosion in the basement of the tower when the plane hit. Some believe it was a planted bomb.

Watch the one I posted after that as I am watching it again and I forgot how good it is in its footage from the inside.

Just a whole raft of air traffic control audio, a confirmed visual from another pilot asked by air traffic control, phone calls literally from the hijacked plane to loved ones, eye witnesses on the ground etc etc...

Not to mention a missing plane with 58 people on it.

Ah, but….

There was no ‘cartoon-style’ aircraft shaped hole in the Pentagon, so it couldn’t possibly have been a plane.

One of the most interesting bits was the news bloke who witnessed it go into the pentagon and then got told by a theorist that 'his eyes were playing tricks on him.'

The main problems that the TRUTHERS(c) seem not to grasp are 1) They would have had to make a plane with 60 passengers on disappear and 2) It would have been a lot easier to just say a terrorist cell fired a missile at the Pentagon.
