T20 Derby vs Lancs

Derby going at over 10 an over in the last few overs without offering any chances. 115-2 in the 14th. Looking good for a challenging total
 
The commentator is the cricketing equivalent of Chissy 😂

Aside from not recognising his own players, his voice is so monotone it's untrue.

Very disappointed with David in those final overs. He was happy to push it for 1 instead of turning down the run and keeping the strike for the big hits. He was the one who should have seen us home
 
No urgency at all in those last few overs, content to piss about with singles. It really bugs me , I don’t mind losing if you go down fighting.
 
Poor last 5 overs there. David was the biggest threat and played it safe, very strange tactics in a game that was easily winnable!
 
Yep, shows how short we are for cover for limited over batsmen when Jones is in the middle order.
Only Buttler (who rarely plays anyway) and Livingstone missing tonight
Big players to be out, but we should have cover if we're to take T20 seriously.
I like Jones as a red ball player, but he simply shouldn't be near a T20 squad.
We're a decent bowling team, we just need more quick scoring batsmen.

Surprised Bell wasn't given another chance, he was impressive last night at Stanley Park

Jennings too which makes a big difference ... if he or Livingstone or Buttler are available Jones doesn't play. Agree Bell seemed to have a boundary option despite his stature

David also has to take some responsibility - he should've made sure he had strike as much as possible - even if it meant turning down singles.
 
I wonder if Buttler may get a shot in the Championship? If he has any lingering Test ambitions he certainly needs to play the longer format.
 
Butler wont play in the Champ in September.

He will be “resting” in Clapham to recover from the intense activity of playing IPL then having 2 weeks off. then playing for England every 3 or 4 days through the summer then the occasional outing in the Hundred.

Then he will have his September rest before the T20 World Cup in Oz where he will be required to play every 3 or 4 days.

Lancs supposedly pay him for marketing Lancs in India when on IPL duty

The best way he could market Lancs is to play for us!
