Taylor Swift Sued

I know, who gives one, but its interesting that she is being sued by a Utah Theme park owner 'Evermore' for using that name for her new album.

I take it they don't listen to Led Zep in Utah, and so haven't heard their 1971 song 'Battle of Evermore' ( which thinking about it is a gimme as the newspaper headline if Swift ends up in court), a traditional folk song Led Zep plagiarised.

Worlds gone f*cking mad.

Aye, crackers that you think you can copyright a word that can't be used in any other context around the world. I liked the Swift legal team's response of 'the failing theme park owner...'

I'm pretty sure this case is an advertising stunt, it clearly has no chance of succeeding on its own merits. The park has already said their internet traffic got a 25% boost when she released the record. My guess is they are trying to keep it going.

Agree. They will drop it. Because it would rightly be laughed out of court. The copyright infringement would only apply to a similar industry, e.g. if say, Taylor Swift set up a theme park called Evermore in another state.
Led Zep. Platinum selling New Zealand indie band. Electric company. Pianos. All share the same moniker. I’m sure there’s more.
