Good line up but I’d play lavery for Rhodes. Think Rhodes needs a rest too

Forgot about Coulson in my team on one of the other threads.

CJ will play if they are set to come out. If not Lav.
 
It’s Rhodes that needs the rest. Joseph and Lavery to start for me on Saturdsy.? I’d also plug in Virtue for Norburn this weekend.
 
Obvious ones (for me) are Casey, Pennington, Coulson, Virtue and Dale as they are all decent and didn't feature as much on Wednesday.

I think there will be outrage if Gabriel doesn’t start but I think we need to be really careful with him. Would hate for him to get injured again, he’ll be massive for us second half of the season.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the bench.
 
Norburn and Morgan both put a huge shift in on Wednesday, played the whole game, in the highly demanding midfield area. Will they start? Morgan probably, cos he's running in adrenaline etc. Norburn maybe not? Virtue could come in.

CJ has been far more effective at home, simply because he plays in a more advanced attacking position, which suits him.

In away games where we’ve set up in that dreadful defensive formation and he plays in a much deeper role he hasn’t looked good, because it just doesn’t suit his style of play

So there are much better options when we set up like that, namely Gabriel, Lyons, or even Dale

There's a temptation to use Dembele like that as well. If only we had another skillful 20yr with an eye for goal that could share the heavy load.

I think Apter could be the replacement for Dembele next season, pretty sure Dembele will be at a Championship club.
What Apter and Dembele bring is slightly different to Hamilton in that they can pick a pass to open up a packed defence whereas Hamilton is one dimensional, although that dimension can be very effective given the right scenario.

What Apter and Dembele bring is completely different to Hamilton!!!!
 
I would rather see Apter play every week than CJ, nothing against Mr Hamilton, but I just think young Rob has more to offer regarding Skill and end product whether that be a cross into the box, a pass to a colleague or a shot at goal. We will never know if he is truly up to it while he is playing elsewhere but I would take the gamble !

Backside, front-side, left-side, right-side, the deflection can come from whichever side fate dictates - just as long as the ball crosses the line and finishes up in the back of the net ...
