Team for Reading

It has to be the same team and tell Norburn we’re playing in Portsmouth and meet him there.
The Norburn experiment hasn't worked and one of my concerns for next season is that Critchley will persist with him and we're back to square one. Why it needs a shake up in the management team whether that be Critchley or his two hoppos.

I'm clinging to the hope that his injuries haven't fully cleared up and he's not been 100%. If what we've seen is 100%, then we need to be ruthless and move him on.

Ironically, I think he and this system will be better at Championship level.
I doubt it, he's never made an impression at that level. His lack of pace and one dimensional passing won't improve in the league above or at least I highly doubt it.

Each to their own but he was exactly what we were missing the season we went down.

Kenny as a midfielder anchor is, was, and always will be a better option than Norburn. Connolly as an out and out defensive mid is superior to Norburn even accounting for CCs limitations, CC is decent in the air, can tackle, can put in a decent cross from his right foot, and is a decent goal threat at set pieces, all things that Norburn cannot do. What we missed the previous year was coached who didn't play inexperienced teenagers as holding mids amongst other things, like a lack of basic organisation and a simple ability to play players in positions they knew how to play.

I don't agree. Kenny was absolutely garbage that season. We needed a bit of bite and someone to keep it simple. Norburn was exactly the right player we needed.

As for you saying Connolly is better in that role, it's beyond laughable and one of the worst opinions on here so far today after someone saying CJ is in the conversation for player of the year.

The dream is that Rhodes is available at some point.
We have to have scoring options at the end of the game and so I'd like to think whichever team he plays that on the sub's bench we have options up front.

Even to have him on the bench and come on for 10 mins would be a massive boost and if this is Goodbye he'd get a deserved send off.

Last Saturday’s team to start for me.

FULL ON pressing for this game. NO sitting back. Be ALERT at all times. NO tippy tappy football around our box. BLOCK every incoming shot/cross. LEAP for every corner. SHOOT when in sight of their goal. NO pissing off the ref. NO needlessly getting sent off. OK, I’ll cut to the chase. PLEASE, PLEASE, lads - play like men possessed, for the entire 100 minutes - and possibly more. You CAN do it. And, if you can’t bust a gut for a measly 100 odd minutes - then there’s something sadly wrong with you. Just saying. 🤫 UTMP
